Bio

Jamie Scheid received his B.A. from UIC in Theatre-Directing/Design in 2011.  Since then he has become the UIC Assistant Technical Director, Production Manager, and Lighting/Set/Sound Designer.  He has been involved with many of the mainstage productions at UIC since Angels In America in September 2005.  As a student he directed and designed CCP’s production of The Laramie Project in January 2011 and designed the lights for and acted in CCP’s production of Frankenstein in Love in August 2006.

Outside of UIC, he has worked in varying technical capacities including electrical, carpentry, scenic painting and technician with Frost Lighting, Black Ensemble Theatre, Ballet Chicago, Mortar Theatre Company, Bread and Roses Productions, and Chicago Civic Ballet.
